Midday Market Update: June 3, 2026 📊

Tough read today, especially NQ. We started with a disconnect between the two indices: NQ’s overnight inventory was long, while ES was short.

ES:
⦿ Price got rejected at the upper distribution right at the open.
⦿ Overnight inventory was short.
⦿ Took the IB Low in F-Period, and once it took the 5/28 Afternoon Pullback, it placed the daily Down.
⦿ G-Period started with single prints for the bears. Score is 8-0 bears with Value totally lowered. MGI leans heavily bearish. Look for rallies higher to short. 📉

NQ:
⦿ Overnight inventory was long.
⦿ A-Period took both the ON High and ON Low.
⦿ Very rotational back and forth around yesterday’s value. Value currently unchanged.
⦿ Score is 3-1 bears, but not having the IB break makes things difficult. Be patient and trade the edges for now, though odds of taking an IB remain high. ⚖️

Midday Market Commentary, June 2

Opening inside yesterday’s large Value area meant patience was the primary play early on. With short overnight inventory and opening scores at 0-0, we needed to wait for Market Generated Information (MGI) to clarify the day's direction.

By B period, the market gave us something to lean on: both ES and NQ took out the Overnight High (ONH) and began one-time framing up. From that point forward, pullbacks have been aggressively defended and bought.

Key Midday Observations:
⦿ ES is currently displaying more relative strength than NQ, characterized by a wider set of single prints.
⦿ F period in ES is serving as our current Afternoon Pullback.
⦿ High of Day Nuance: The ES HOD stalled exactly 1 tick below the ATH/Daily Balance High before rolling over, a textbook example of the power and importance of balance rules.

Current MGI Scores:
⦿ NQ: 7-0 Bulls
⦿ ES: 6-0 Bulls

Going into the afternoon, the game plan remains unchanged: continue buying pullbacks where risk can be strictly managed, while keeping a close eye out for a solid afternoon pullback structure.

Today both ES and NQ pushed to new All-Time Highs after solid afternoon pullbacks, though late-day long liquidation ultimately filled the single prints and removed trend day status. ES has now put its daily timeframe into balance as an outside up day, while NQ maintains its daily trend to the upside.

Midday Market Commentary — June 1st 📊

Very choppy start to the month as the market digests Friday’s ranges. NQ opened inside Value (just above Friday’s VAL), while ES opened below Value and took out both Friday’s low and the ONL during A period.

Since then, we’ve seen a shift in momentum:
⦿ Rotational Base: B and C periods stayed highly rotational inside Friday’s Value.
⦿ The Breakout: D period broke the IB high in NQ, which set up an E period spike.
⦿ New Highs: That spike pushed NQ to a new RTH All-Time High and allowed ES to break its IB high, trading all the way to the upper side of Friday’s Value.

Market Generated Information (MGI) & Structures:
⦿ MGI Scores: Started tight but have decoupled. NQ is firmly 4-0 Bulls. ES remains a tighter 3-2 Bulls.
⦿ Current State: F period stopped the one-time framing up, leaving us with an Afternoon Pullback.
⦿ Timeframe Alignment: ES is now in a Daily balance, while NQ remains Daily Up. Both Weekly and Monthly timeframes are unified Up.

Midday Trade Plan & Nuances:
⦿ ES: Patience is highly required here. The bullish score lead is slim, value is technically overlapping-to-lower/in favor of the bears for now, and it’s still grinding through Friday’s wide Value.
⦿ NQ: Much cleaner look. Finding acceptance above Friday’s value and trading in favor of it.
⦿ Execution: Looking to buy pullbacks, specifically targeting a deeper afternoon pullback. Note that NQ didn't hold a trend (no single prints), so exercise a bit more caution. That said, this Afternoon Pullback may have released enough intraday pressure to invite new buyers back in.

@dontbsalti @1TickRob @andreacimi My DOM is basic + market orders, pulling/staking, and at most Bid/Ask delta and the volume Profile, that is all! But I can live with the most basic DOM, just limit orders.

I highly respect traders who can track a million things at once. Personally, I know my limitations… i have to be highly selective with my information. For me, it’s strictly Market Profile and what I see on the DOM. Call it being old, slow, or having a bad memory (I need to write down everything hahahah), but I know my strengths. Years of screen time with the profile is my edge.

Midday Market Commentary: May 29, 2026📊

A textbook example of why we trade the Market Generated Information (MGI) and not just bias!

We started the day with absolute strength, printing new All-Time Highs, clearing overnight highs, and one-time framing up. On paper, for the first minutes of the day, the MGI was heavily skewed to the buyers (5-0 NQ, 4-0 ES), making longs the clear play early on.

But the market rarely moves in a straight line. The moment the MGI shifted, it was an immediate signal to pull back and exercise caution.

Both ES and NQ reversed to take out their Initial Balance (IB) Lows. However, the subsequent IB extension down found precision support right at yesterday’s 8-Wide POC. We flagged this exact reference in the pre-market plan as a critical pivot for today, and it delivered. Despite a brief dip below it, responsive buyers stepped up heavily, rotating price right back into the IB range.

Where do we stand now?
• F-Period has left a potential Afternoon Rally High, but given today's volatile structural shifts, we aren't putting too much weight on it.
• The structural score has balanced out to a modest 3-2 in favor of the bulls.
• Price is currently chopping in the middle of the IB range in full rotation mode. Trading the middle offers zero edge.

For the rest of the afternoon, the highest-probability setup is fading the extremes. If we continue to see both sides of the IB tested without any sustained extension, trading the edges will be the play.

That said, don't lose sight of the bigger picture: the market remains structurally strong with all three major timeframes (Monthly, Weekly, Daily) firmly one-time framing up. We are content to sit on our hands, wait for clearer MGI, and let the market declare its next real structural move.
