Something I like about being a just-OK singer is that I can sing a little ditty as part of telling a story or doing a bit, and I don’t worry that it looks like I’m showing off my voice.
Whenever someone says “The point is” with exasperation, I interject in the nearly mandatory pause that follows: “Blackmail!”, and if I had any really friends they would add “All this came out after dinner in the study!”. Sadly I do not.
Sometimes I feel disconnected from my Great Books–based education, but then I see a tweet where someone says schools should only teach practical skills that people will use frequently (and notice using).
Is Crocus Pocus anything? Springtime hocus pocus adaptation? For… whatever pagan holiday Easter overtook? Surely the veil is also thin around the vernal equinox/full moon. Honestly, Easter is witchier than Halloween measured solely by placement in time.

@pschofie79 If the makeup of your class was anything like mine, we were excited that novels were back. As I recall, we were coming off of Kant and Adam Smith, whose prose was… not as nice as Austen’s.
@SenatorShaheen I'm from NH and my family has supported you, but with your previous vote against raising minimum wage to protect "small businesses" over people, and this vote to re-open the government with no ACA subsidies, which will only hurt small businesses and the people, I feel betrayed.
