@Timojore No, that’s maybe the reason they come first. I also stayed not for tax reasons but for the feeling of freedom. And left because that feeling vanished.
let’s be honest: the only reason the uae is where it is today, and the only reason foreigners ever accepted moving there, is because of dubai. 🇦🇪
dubai pulled all of them in.
even me, i didn’t move because of the burj khalifa or some skyline photo. i moved because of the feeling i got walking through jumeirah, the hotels near burj al arab, places like al naseem.
that vibe of calm, openness, and possibility changed my whole perception.
so real question: why does dubai have basically no visible say in foreign policy, when the consequences hit the entire country?
i highly doubt the city that built its identity on openness and global trust is happy watching decisions being driven elsewhere that affect everyone living and investing there.
