Q4: We are going to San Diego for a week….with a day at Disneyland! I’m pumped to relax and have quality time with my fam. 💕 I’m hoping to learn how to balance being a mom, teacher, and myself. I give a lot all day but I need to find time for me too. School related, 🤷🏻♀️😂 #Txed
Q4: Where do you plan to rest and relax this summer? In addition, what are you hoping to learn this summer? #TXed

A3: I’m not sure that I used a specific resource, but I did incorporate a lot of STEAM activities and @gregtangmath during our intervention time. My students loved it and I got to see them think outside of the box! #TXed
Q2: I survived going down to 2nd grade after being in 5th/6th for the last 7 years. 😅 But really I felt good about how I incorporated stations and meeting with each student in small groups. #TXed
A2: My reading instruction was all over the place after my district adopted a new curriculum. We were all flying the plane without knowing how to manage it. Now that I have a year under my belt I know what worked and what didn’t. #TXed
A2: I just started using old board games and turning them into review games in my classroom. For example, I just turned Candy Land into a phonics review game. They kids LOVED it. #TXed
Q2: What are your favorite non-digital strategies, activities, games, etc, in Gamifying Your Classroom? Competitions, board games, scavenger hunts, fun activities? #TXed

@Tommyspall I do a mixture of both! This week we have a math review escape room on google classroom and last week I made a phonics game using a Candy Land board. It all works!
A1: What kid doesn’t love a little competition?! It’s a game but there are learning and practicing new content or reviewing old. I love using games to get my kids engaged. #TXed
Q1: Thinking both digitally and non-digitally (examples to come in Q2 and Q3), why is it important to teach our students with engaging lessons and content? How does gamifying our classrooms increase student engagement? #TXed

A3: Not a PD session but @brewerhm was a keynote at a conference I attended in GISD. I left feeling inspired and energized to be the absolute best educator I could be! If you have the opportunity to hear him speak DO IT! #TXEd
Q4 Again: When you close your eyes and think of the PERFECT professional development, what are the common themes?
