Look, I'm not in the business of recommending who someone should or shouldn't be friends with. But I continue to be baffled by the Vice President's stalwart defense of this wicked man.

Tucker doesn't "disagree politically" with Trump and the administration. He's said and done things that speak to his fundamentally, profoundly evil character.

He's called for President Trump to face Nuremberg-style treason charges and suggested he's the antichrist, accused the president of being enslaved by the Jews, said Israel was involved in 9/11, praised Sharia law, claimed radical Islam doesn't cause terrorism, campaigned for Zohran Mamdani, Abdul El-Sayed, and Graham Platner, suggested Israel murdered Charlie Kirk, called Churchill the villain of World War II, argued Iran should get a nuclear bomb, and described the Trump administration — the one in which Vance is the number two — as a criminal enterprise.

Why does the Vice President have such a hard time distancing himself from him?

How could he possibly call someone like that a friend?

• The target was captured alive and extracted from Gaza into Israel.

• Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the capture of a senior Hamas operative.

• The detainee is reportedly the head of Hamas’s General Security Apparatus.

• Israeli officials describe the position as roughly equivalent to the head of Israel’s Shin Bet.

• The apparatus is responsible for protecting senior Hamas leaders and coordinating their movements and meetings.

• It manages secure communications and moves leaders between hideouts and emergency locations.

• It gathers intelligence, including on Israeli forces, for Hamas leadership and operations.
