@bburkeESPN@JustinMacmahan@PatrickChiotti And I know how I sound like analytics is useless, it’s not, there’s plenty of times where analytics is helpful but when it doesn’t work out, I never hear any analytics person say “yeah maybe analytics was wrong on that one”
@bburkeESPN@JustinMacmahan@PatrickChiotti I thought it was probably the wrong call for them. Still led to a FG for the so now is a genuine question, not trying to sound like an ass, but as someone who has an analytics model, what advantage did they gain by not kicking the 1st time since it led to a FG? Eating more clock?
@JustinMacmahan@bburkeESPN@PatrickChiotti If you’re telling me there’s a 91% chance at 7 points I’m on board but I highly doubt getting the first down, getting 13 more yards and scoring a touchdown in tha scenario has a 91% success rate.
@byajperez@greggpoulin That is a relatively new thing though. A couple years ago we moved up from 3.2 to 4.2. All the big brands informed Utah they wouldn’t make special beer for us anymore so it forced their hand. But… they did lower the BAC for DUI to .05 at the same time.
