@PiratesFaithful I think part of it is pitchers know he struggles hitting low and away, so he swings at everything low and away trying to stay alive, like on 5 and 2
I can’t believe I’m saying this after all these years of watching them, but the Pittsburgh Pirates have the best offense in the league. If the bullpen gets figured out, things could get exciting!!!!!
Have the Pirates ever thought about doing a piggyback system like the rays? They could move Carmen to 6th reliever and piggyback off one another to reduce the impact the struggling bullpen has
@bobbybfromda513@CellarOfKeller You say we are reaching for anything, but your defense is it was “wet asf” today…… They literally don’t throw the pitch if the ball is slightly off, they ask for a new ball. I agree it doesn’t make sense, but that pitch is so horrid, he either is ass, or was intentional
Nothing is more poetic than Isaac Mattson aka “The Tourniquet”, coming back up to the Pirates than when our bullpen has been struggling and needs something to hold it together
@PlatinumKey13 I just don’t understand how he accepts the challenge still. It literally violates both rules on what a batter cannot do and still challenge
Either they need to mandate what constitutes a challenge in a way that leaves no debate, or they need to stop fucking ignoring the rules. It’s over 2 seconds past the call, and he makes a move away from box. BOTH VIOLATE THE ABILITY TO CHALLENGE THE PITCH
@burghbulletin He just needs the timing, if he can time things up and sit at about a .200 average, honestly I am perfectly okay with that. Even if he isn’t a .275 hitter, the defense makes up for a .200
As much as the trade for LaMelo Ball sucks for the hornets, it’s an absolute blessing to residents of the Charlotte area. They can finally drive safely on game days again!
