Yada said her 2:19:57 debut marathon was a lot of fun. Really liked getting cheered on by the amateurs in the half marathon over the 1st half. Had figured she'd be happy with 2:23, so sub-2:20 was beyond her expectations. Said training and the race were fun, not hard.
Debuting Amisa Murayama/Tohoku Fukushi Univ. also way ahead of 2:26:46 collegiate marathon record pace. Planning to stop at 30k and go for record next year, but she looks completely fine right now. Just passed Mizuki Matsuda.
Osaka lead quartet 35km in 1:55:41, 2:19:28 pace. Yada still leads but Chesang, Edesa and Hirpa all right on her. Can't see Yada hitting the 2:18:59 NR but it's trending in that direction.
