https://t.co/dZ7NbuPzze I continue my reading of Chapter IV of Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit with this blog post, entitled "Self-consciousness reaches its tautology"
https://t.co/5blySje9ls New blog post: exploring reality through Barbie. I take the term "barycentre" from astronomy to mean Kantian reality-in-itself, or the Lacanian objet a. Observing orbit around Barycentre is important to understand the challenges that the characters face.
New Blog Post – Some notes on the origins of dialectical motion: Annotations from ¶ 166 of Hegel’s PdG #Hegel#PhenomenologyOfSpirit#Dialectic https://t.co/8QPOczzr7c
This Saturday we present our debut concert, featuring music by Beethoven, Weber and a brand new work by a recent graduate of the RNCM. Join us for an informal evening of excellent music.
The Manchester Young Sinfonia is an orchestra of Music Students and young professionals, representing the next generation of Manchester-grown talent in classical music.
And, best of all, you can support us in our ambition to be the first ever orchestra to play in space. Elon, you're our guy, don't fuck this opportunity up. Lots of love. James xoxox
Hi @elonmusk, now that you've bought twitter, boy oh boy do I have the next big investment opportunity for you. Did you know, that for roughly the amount of money you make in one second, you could help my brand new orchestra to get off the ground in spectacular fashion.
We could be your own personal orchestra, and imagine what we could do for you. Do you need any recordings done for Tesla? We're there for you. Does Twitter need a new theme song? We're your Muskicians.
I've made an orchestra! We will be playing a brand new piece by me (as well as some nonsense by a couple of other composers, probably not worth worrying about). If you're free in Manchester this Saturday, come along and see my piece! https://t.co/cDO5iulOrj @Eventbrite
An example of fun music by Schnittke which would fit in very well at the proms: this suite, compiled by Gennady Rozhdestvensky from Schnittke's music to the TV Miniseries, Dead Souls. https://t.co/obEABvYm59
Tabea Zimmerman, @BerlinPhil and @djharding were phenomenal last night. 2023 will mark 25 years since Schnittke died. Can we expect a lot more of his work at the @bbcproms next year? Having been conducted by Gennady Rozhdestvensky in the 80s, @BBCSO would be well-placed for this.
Fun fact, the only @bbcproms performance ever scheduled of a Schnittke symphony was cancelled due to industrial action by the Musicians' Union. @BBCSO Isn't it time to finally give Schnittke his symphonic proms debut? https://t.co/zsaBTAstiC
Twitter, I have a spare standing ticket for the Berlin Phil doing Mahler 7 at the Proms tonight. Does anyone wanna come? DM me if you want to come along.
I'll be away this weekend, so I've updated my blog earlier than usual. This is probably the most personal thing I've shared on this blog. It's a message that I wrote to myself after missing a deadline. If you have any responses, please do share them. https://t.co/kCQgTYftTs
I wrote this "Dramatic Monologue" for solo trombone for incredible "musician-composer-sound artist-audio engineer" (as he describes himself on his website), Weston Olencki. It's a piece that only he could have done and I was so grateful to work with him. https://t.co/1HL7wsjD8Z
