@Vermeullarmine@varadmehta Didn’t know it was your mother! Years ago I read it. As a philosophy grad student I was enormously grateful for it. She cut through so much nonsense.
Prior to October 7, Tucker was by far MAGA's most beloved media figure. Few conservatives uttered a peep of criticism (except cowardly House members wanting to finance Ukraine, and even they did so only while hiding beyind anonymity in Axios and Politico).
Only one thing changed: like millions of Americans, Tucker saw the true horrifying face of Israel in Gaza and became horrified by US financing, arming and devotion to that foreign country (as well as US censorship for it): on both America First and moral grounds. That's all it took for the anti-Tucker smear campaign to explode.
Exactly the same is true for all the other once-beloved, now-excommunicated MAGA figures: MTG, Megyn Kelly, Candace, Thomas Massie, etc. Charlie Kirk was on the same path before his murder.
Once Trump's second term became dominated by Netanyahu, neocons and the Bush/Cheney ideology he once vowed to vanquish -- and Trump then started two wars against Iran at the behest of Israel -- their Israel dissent then put them further at odds with Trump and that further fueled the hate campaign against them. But the primary impetus -- really the only impetus -- is blasphemy on Israel.
Tucker and the rest of this group didn't change in the slightest. Their crime was taking seriously Trump's central vow to place America First by avoiding Middle East and regime-change wars. Since Israel is at the heart of that, the Israeli smear machine that Netanyahu boasts about has been unleashed on them, and the Trump cultists -- who don't care about Israel or anything else other than revering Trump as a cult leader -- became soldiers in this Israel-centrist campaign of reputataional destruction.
I think the one surprise they got was that Tucker, Megyn, and that group remain infinitely more popular than the Mark Levins and Ben Shapiros who have been fully exposed as Israeli agents, about as far from "America First" as it gets.
Everyone who’s not Jewish or a bot on X today sees what’s really happening- we weren’t born yesterday.
The coordinated attack on Tucker is because he’s way over the target. And if Israel fails now at taking over the world, it will likely cease to exist.
So there is no resource they will not weaponize to survive.
Saying Tucker works for Iran is like saying Larry Loomer loves Nigeria. It’s fucking retarded. It’s obviously an Israeli op orchestrated by Israeli assets.
And no amount of bot posting online makes it look authentic.
Tucker says Trump betrayed his people.
“It’s a betrayal. It’s heartbreaking to see this. It’s so wounding, it hurts.”
“I talk to Trump voters. They’re upset. They’re starting to hate Israel. But it’s more than being mad. It’s like, ‘I can’t believe he did this to us.’”
We have the House, Senate and WH for over 14 months now.
We have yet to pass simple secure election laws,
- Proof of citizenship
- Voter ID
- Same Day Voting
- Paper Ballots
Our GOP has FAILED US, miserably.
If you're willing to accept the "filibuster" excuse for Republicans not passing the SAVE act, or any other significant piece of actual conservative legislation, then what you're saying is that you're okay with Republicans in congress never passing any conservative legislation ever again. Republicans aren't getting a filibuster proof majority. There is no conceivable scenario where that is ever going to happen. It's a laughable idea, frankly. So either we barrel through and advance our agenda by force, filibuster be damned, or it will never happen. Those are your choices.
If you’re a proponent of this war, so be it. Make your case. But lecturing skeptics for not “trusting Trump” is the dumbest argument you could possibly make. It is perfectly reasonable for American to be skeptical of regime change wars in the Middle East. Trump himself was skeptical of them. The idea that we are obligated to just assume it’s a good move because Trump decided to do it is asinine, not to mention un-American.
The country held a primary and the neocons were rejected. Trump ran against war. That is the reality. Support the war or not, that is separate. I’m optimistic that this can be wrapped up. But it’s unpopular and was rejected.
I have sadly and reluctantly come to the very same conclusions, and with even more personal cause to NOT want to arrive there.
Being bi-racial (black & white), I have had firsthand experience that “whites” are the only people who routinely discount or ignore race. Whatever complex religious, historical, and psychological facts brought this about, it now endangers their continued existence. “Racism”, in fact, is a word concocted to punish whites, as everyone else practices ethnocentrism without guilt or a second thought. So if whites continue to operate by rules and principles observed by no one else, they are suicidal. Why are the people who created mankind’s greatest intellectual, moral, artistic, and technological achievements bent on self-immolation?
A perfect allegory. Instead of thanking the good Lord that an ancestor or two was captured and sold away by some savage tribe, thereby granting us access to Western civilization. Where there ought to be immense gratitude, liberal whites and race-baiting “leaders” encourage resentment.
