I would love to see you all do a copy of Veiled Rebecca. I think that that would be interesting as an example of the 1800s “veiled lady” works. They were done primarily to showcase the skill of the sculptures in that era so it would be cool to see an example redone with modern tools.
@paulg Point #6 sounds about right to me. I’ve generally thought it will make life boring. We as humans need to struggle to grow and AI makes everything too easy. Hopefully we’ll start to colonize space so the exploratory instinct can overcome the malaise.
Just ran into a friend I haven’t seen who runs a devops team. Asked him how things are going and he said he’s working his butt off 60 hours a week. When I asked him why he said it’s because they replaced some people with ai tools… but it doesn’t really work so in actuality they just fired people and made everyone else work harder to make up the difference. I wonder how much of our AI efficiency gains are really just that?
@jack_watson_hfw I build software and I’m looking for employers to work with and explore where we can iterate together and figure out how to drive ROI with AI. We get to learn and you get insights. If you are interested in a conversation shoot me a DM!
@marshal I’m in Raleigh as well. If you want help connecting in to the local business/entrepreneurial community let me know. Happy to help wherever I can.
