Bronch cultures show that I have a fungal infection. Should have 3 more days in the hospital as they adjust my immunosuppressant meds around the treatment for the fungus, followed by 6 months of home treatment. We may still have to treat for acute reject. Depends on lung function
View from the 10th floor of my home away from home. They have ruled out most viral and bacterial infections. It will be Monday before the fungal cultures can grow. I either have a fungal lung infection or an acute rejection. We’ll know Monday afternoon.

So very proud of our Colorado granddaughter. She graduated high school this afternoon. My lung transplant gave me the opportunity to teach her to swing a kettlebell and see her graduate. I am blessed.
We made changes to my BP and arrhythmia meds and my body didn’t agreed with our choices. So I’ve been back on the 10th floor of my home away from home. Main concern coming in was the possibility of another PE. My symptoms were a milder version of the larger PE I had last year…
