It was just a zero interest loan. $15k per family that has to be replayed is significantly different than $50k per person that doesn’t. It just is. @TrillyMoPena @Fava @itshalves @dirkster42_ @jbarro I get that but many don’t realize the FTHBTC doesn’t exist anymore and you can only deduct mortgage interest on a main home if you are itemizing and your itemized deductions exceed the standard deduction. I only see 2-3 clients a seasons that are able to itemize.
