I'm actually in disbelief.

In just the last few days, many prominent animal advocacy Twitter / X accounts that focused on animal cruelty cases in China and urged companion animal protection legislation there have been suspended on this sitem

They weren't even accounts using VPNs in China. My main account, @MaleficentLady is gone and I'm Australian. So many accounts from various countries in Europe (Netherlands, Germany etc) are gone. They've been purged. They were at the forefront of advocacy, organising protests, leading calls to action.

This is insane, draconian mass censorship by the CCP, the Chinese Government leaking out into the Western world.

On what basis were those accounts suspended? Daring to speak out about the legal torture of animals in China?

Are y'all in Western countries just going to sit down and take this?

Unfuckingbelievable @elonmusk you are a SELL OUT. So much for you'll bring free speech back to Twitter. We're just asking China to criminalise torture of companion animals and end their animal torture for profit industry and you silenced us. Eine Gruppe migrantischer Jugendlicher prügelt und tritt brutal einen Gleichaltrigen am hellichten Tag vor einer Schule in #FrankfurtOder nieder.
Lese gerade, dass die Polizei der Meinung ist, man solle dieses Video aus Respekt vor dem Opfer nicht weiter im Internet teilen.
Und ich würde ja zustimmen, würden wir in einem Land leben, in dem das nicht an der Tagesordnung ist genauso wie die Tatsache, dass Politik und auch zahlreiche Medien solche Vorfälle systematisch wegschweigen, verharmlosen oder gar jene des Rassismus beschuldigen, die den brutalen Anstieg von Gewalt durch Migranten, eingebürgerte Migranten und ihren Nachkommen thematisieren.
Ich würde ja zustimmen, wenn wir angesichts der Kriminalstatistik der Polizei, die das auch noch dokumentiert, eine Politik hätten, die darauf mit harter Hand, Konsequenzen, Abschiebungen etc. reagieren würde.
Haben wir aber nicht.
Wir leben stattdessen in einem Land, in dem die echten Zustände und Nöte von Eltern und Kindern, von Mädchen und Frauen systematisch ignoriert werden. Stattdessen leisten wir uns seit Tagen eine Debatte, ob man wohl eine Ministerin noch kritisieren darf, weil sie doch einen Trauerfall in der Familie hat und eine Stieftochter verstorben ist.
Wo waren Frau Bas und die Politik, wo sind sie alle angesicht der toten Kinder, die abgestochen, vergewaltigt und verprügelt wurden in den letzten zehn Jahren?
Wer genau aus der Politik tröstet jetzt diesen jungen Mann, der morgen in dieselbe Schule zurück soll, wo man ihn verprügelt? Wer tröstet alle jene Kinder und Jugendlichen, die täglich ähnliche Situationen meistern müssen, eingeschüchtert, bedrängt, geschlagen und bedroht werden?
Ich denke, es ist wichtig, dass so viele Menschen wie möglich dieses Video sehen. Nicht aus Voyeurismus, sondern um den Tatsachen ins Auge zu blicken und sich selbst mit der Wahrheit zu konfrontieren, die nicht weggeht, nur weil wir sie verscheigen.
Zu viele behaupten immer noch, dies alles würde nicht geschehen, es seien nur Einzelfälle, nicht so schlimm etc.
Aber es ist schlimm und es wird noch schlimmer werden. Seht hin. So sieht der Kontrollverlust unserer Gesellschaft aus und das hier sind "nur" völlig entfesselte Kinder und Teenager, wollen wir wirklich warten, bis sie älter werden und unsere Kinder ganz tot schlagen?

One of my dogs was rescued from a Chinese meat market during COVID. She was emaciated.

As I’ve been reporting, China-owned Smithfield Foods is actively lobbying the US Senate to pass the pro-CCP “Save Our Bacon Act” to overturn existing US state animal protection laws and force extreme cruelty and abuse on farm animals in our country.

And don’t ever forget that China’s animal tests in a PLA-linked lab funded by Anthony Fauci created and unleashed the COVID bioweapon that killed over 1.2 million Americans.
