The JSC is today conducting interviews for the position of Members of the Competition Tribunal, a specialized body mandated to adjudicate disputes arising from decisions of the Competition Authority of Kenya.

The Commission is also interviewing candidates for appointment as Members of the Retirement Benefits Appeals Tribunal, which is established to hear and determine appeals against decisions made by the Retirement Benefits Authority or its Chief Executive Officer.

These interviews are part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to fill critical positions within Kenya’s specialized Tribunals, ensuring that these institutions remain fully constituted and well-equipped to deliver timely, efficient, and effective justice in their respective sectors.

The Judicial Service Commission is today conducting interviews for Members of the Micro and Small Enterprises Tribunal. The Tribunal hears and determines disputes involving micro and small enterprises and advises on matters referred to it by the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority.

The Commission is also interviewing candidates for appointment as Members of the Industrial Property Tribunal, which hears appeals arising from decisions of the Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) on intellectual property matters, including patents, industrial designs, utility models, technovations, and semiconductor technologies.

Yesterday, the JSC concluded interviews for the position of Member, Energy and Petroleum Tribunal. The Tribunal handles appeals against decisions of the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) and resolves disputes involving licensees and third parties in the energy and petroleum sector.

Through these recruitment processes, the Commission continues to strengthen specialized tribunals that play a vital role in the administration of justice and the resolution of sector-specific disputes.

The Judicial Service Commission is today conducting interviews for the position of Chairperson of the Standards Tribunal.

Established under Section 16A of the Standards Act (Cap. 496, Laws of Kenya), the Standards Tribunal is mandated to hear and determine appeals arising from decisions of the Cabinet Secretary, the National Standards Council, and the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).

The Judicial Service Commission is today conducting interviews for the position of Registrar, Judicial Service Commission.

The Registrar deputizes the Secretary, JSC and provides strategic leadership in the day-to-day administration of the Commission Secretariat. The role is responsible for overseeing the management of human, financial, and physical resources, staff development and performance management, audit and integrity systems, as well as ensuring compliance with the Constitution and relevant legislation.

The office holder also plays a key role in enhancing public awareness of the Commission’s mandate, fostering strategic partnerships, and supporting the efficient, effective, and transparent administration of justice.
