There has gotta be a middle ground between be able to have valid criticism of pope but at the same time not deciding the season is over before a ball has been tipped in a real game
What a day for Kevin Willard:
1. Backs out of Big 5.
2. Publicly responds to an AI tweet critical of his Big 5 exit.
3. Skip a cancer luncheon.
4. Get skullfucked by UVA at home.
5. Blames Temple for not giving into Villanova’s Big 5 demands.
I shit on Joe a lot, but to be clear… when he sticks to JUST being an owner… clearly REALLY good at it.
We’re seeing it again with the Valks now: hires the right people, operates the business side flawlessly, etc etc
But greatness in one sector doesn’t necessarily translate to another. Just because you can BUILD an organization well, does not mean you should be involved with the minutiae of day to day decisions. It’s not possible! That’s why you hire good people to do it!!
@GrandRegentRoy The Knicks are fascinating because Dolan is one of the worst owners in sports but they are one of the most well run teams in sports. Wild
Slater is a laughingstock now.
He’s more washed than Brooklyn KG.
Luka was incessantly whining. Even Mavs fans agreed he was unbearable to watch.
How biased are Lakers fans that they can’t acknowledge this??
No reason to risk it especially on a short week for Evans. Try to steal this one short-handed and get to the bye. Niners have bigger goals and a safety net record-wise.
ClutchPoints’ @BrettSiegelNBA on Kristaps Porzingis’ future:
“As far as potential teams to be in the mix for a Porzingis trade, keep a close eye on the Grizzlies. This is a rebuilding team in the Western Conference with a lead executive in Zach Kleiman, who has already proven he's always willing to take on contracts for future first-round picks…
This offseason, Memphis did sign Quinten Post to a three-year, $30 million offer sheet that the Warriors didn't match, and the final two years of his deal are non-guaranteed. Perhaps there is some type of deal the Warriors could make to bring Post back in favor of Porzingis once he becomes trade eligible in December.”

Easy to get lost in Gil’s antics but then he’ll have a moment like this where it becomes very clear why guys like Bron and Wade paid him good money to work with their sons.
