The fact that Nigeria still feels like mine.
I spent 10 days on the Mambilla Plateau — a vast, breathtaking landscape that can rival any plain in the world. One of the most beautiful topographies on earth. That experience was worth every moment. Certainly one of Nigeria's best kept secrets, one that ought not to be.
The turbaning ceremony of the inimitable @Abdulrahmanleme as the Madakin Mambilla made the visit historic in its own right. The Making of the Madaki offers a vignette of the man, his essence, and a culture that continues to hold its own in the 21st century.
I have noted with increasing concern the heightened pronouncements on Nigeria by President Donald Trump. This follows his designation of Nigeria as a “country of particular concern.”
It is important to emphasise that our country is a sovereign nation whose people face different threats from outlaws across the country. The insecurity we face does not distinguish based on religious, ethnic, or political beliefs.
The United States should assist the Nigerian authorities with better cutting-edge technology to tackle these problems, rather than posing a threat that could further polarise our country.
The Nigerian government should also consider appointing special envoys from its distinguished diplomats to engage the American government. Additionally, it is necessary to appoint permanent ambassadors to represent Nigeria’s interests on the international stage.
To my fellow countrymen, this is an important moment where we should emphasise unity of belonging over division.
God bless Nigeria. - RMK
Be good to others... It'll matter some day! Decisions that'll impact your life are often made when you're not in the room. How good you are to those people WILL be remembered. Be wise, be kind, it matters!
I know times are difficult and the world itself is turbulent but I still want to wish every Nigerian a happy Oct 1 and Gods guidance over us and our beloved nation!!
1400 years ago, Prophet Muhammad SAW gave us a glimpse into the future.
Everything he said will happen has either happened, is happening, or is yet to happen!
Nothing has deviated or happened contrary to his words! Is this not enough of a sign for the truth?
Hausa has all the qualities to function properly as a national language in Niger & Nigeria, West Africa, it’s rich in all aspects for governance, commerce, education & social intercourse!
As we settle into the solemn spiritual activities of the Holy Month of Ramadan, let us embrace the deeper lessons of Islam—compassion, generosity, and love for one another. In all our doings, may we reflect kindness and extend a helping hand to those in need, for it is in lifting others that we honour the true spirit of this Holy Month.
Beyond abstaining from food and drink from dawn to dusk, let us use this time to strengthen our connection with Almighty Allah (SWT) through prayers and supplication. May we open our hearts to the less fortunate, uphold the values of patience and humility, and strive for a society built on justice and unity.
As we do so, I pray that the Almighty blesses us abundantly and grants peace and prosperity to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Ramadan Mubarak to you and your families!
