@FiredCoaches @TSSAA @OfficialGHSA @MiltonEagles_FB @CoachBenReaves @CoachLamb1 @NwGaFootball @Top25PublicHSFB I’ve been filming and on sidelines for over a decade. I’ve seen that pose a thousand times by both teams. Not once have I seen a ref flag it for unsportsmanlike let alone an ejectable offense.

🚨 YOU MAKE THE CALL 🚨

During Friday night’s Milton vs. Battle Ground game, this player was immediately ejected following this celebration.

According to sources, officials characterized the gesture as “shooting his opponents with guns” and called it “unsafe and inexcusable.”

NFHS specifically addresses threatening gestures, including simulated gun-type gestures, as unsportsmanlike conduct.

That carries a 15-yard penalty for the first offense, and you get tossed after the second one.

So the question is simple:

What made THIS an immediate ejection for the @TSSAA?

The decision cost this senior the remainder of Friday night’s game and will now cost him the next game as well.

Watch the video and decide for yourself.

15 yards? Or worthy of an immediate ejection? 🎥👇

I’m sure if we go to a Milton courtroom, with a Milton judge, and a Milton lawyer we can get this passed.

[Justin Miller @TWithJay]

There are rules in place for a reason when someone breaks them they are to be held accountable. Now we’re teaching our young men that you can do whatever. Can’t wait until this happens again. Now the precedent has been set. There are no rules. Don’t try to come and fine me. I’m gonna file an injunction.

[JSM Productions @JSMProductionss]

Crazy. I’ve been around hs sports for 10+ year and even I know once you leave the sideline during play it’s an auto ejection. Regardless of “self defense”. Does this open up the door for what rules can be applied & what can’t. It’s a slippery slope.

🚨Breaking News🚨

The Northeastern Circuit Court has granted Gainesville‘s request for injunction making the 35 players eligible for Friday’s quarterfinal game versus Langston Hughes.
