@DevanteYaps@connperignon Not to mention nostalgia. Some ppl let their fond memories of first discovering the game paint a rosier picture of some performances than is warranted.
@connperignon Not wrong. But much like in sports commentary who @DevanteYaps is parodying, some ppl let they narratives and personal biases color their analysis.
@willchamberlain aint no way you guys are already damage controlling planning to blame podcasters for possibly losing midterms and not epstein/war with iran lmao
Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic is out indefinitely due to a left hamstring injury, sources tell me and @mcten. He will miss the remainder of the regular season and his status is uncertain beyond that.
Has any tweet aged better than this one? It’s basically the defining ethos of the entire last decade. By some objective measure, it might be the best tweet of all time.
It's a mistake to defend Trump over the Obama meme. That's what they want. Move to the real position. I DON'T CARE. The president might have found humor in a joke that contained a racial stereotype. So? I've done it a million times and virtually every time I've watched a black comedian.
Different situations. I feel like Jimmy wants to win. James is about his money, he's made it clear all he cares about is getting to his next bag so he can go to the strip club.
Giannis seems like a genuine dude who loves MKE. I do agree about the passive aggressiveness tho.
Giannis is the exact type of passive aggressive human being I can’t stand in real life. Not happy in a situation but too afraid of looking like the bad guy to keep it real or take action so he just sits there while everyone suffers. This is why you have to salute Jimmy Butler and James Harden for their ability to keep it real.
I don't agree with everything said here, but I will say WWE is for people who are fans of characters and storytelling and AEW is moreso about the in ring product and the science of the matches.
Theres room to like both. Chocolate and vanilla both exist.
You know the real reason guys like Rico hate WWE? Because it exposes them.
Dave Meltzer convinced an entire generation that being the best simply means being athletic and willing to destroy your body. The 00s-10s internet was ripe with his message being repeated on every forum and social media network. "The only reason these guys aren't famous is because WWE won't showcase them". They acted like the fact that there were 1000 people who agreed with that on a message board meant it was true.
The fact is that the percentage of wrestling fans who care enough to get involved in the online wrestling community is a tiny fraction of the base. The hardest of the hardcore, and their tastes were built on Meltzer and his ratings.
Now, there is a national wrestling company showcasing these guys and no one cares unless their crowd chants political statements.
The wrestlers don't care that it's failing because they have a billionaire who pays them enough to pretend it's not, but in reality, the overwhelmingly large percentage of wrestling fans want characters and superheroes. They want spectacle and catchphrases. They WANT easily digestible stories and, most of all, they want to have fun.
WWE exposes the fact that everything we were told about wrestling on the internet isn't what most people actually want and it destroys their entire perspective of what wrestling should be.
Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like if some money gets exchanged between consenting adults, that's their business. The only reason prostitution is illegal is because America can't tax it, because taxing it, would be condoning it & that would be a bad look for the "morals" of the USA
