I was proud to stand with DA McMahon and residents of Park Hill to call on UPS to end their discriminatory delivery policies. Park Hill community members deserve to have their packages delivered directly to them, and as State Senator, I will continue to fight for this community.
In this “Senator Jessica’s Empire Eats” I join Cristal and Arturo at Yolpaqui Taqueria in Port Richmond. Yolpaqui was one of the 2024 Empire Award winners for Senate District 23. Be sure to stop by and check it out!
I’m proud to have secured funding & legislative reforms that focus on improving safety, affordability, & quality of life for constituents across SD23 in the FY27 budget. I will continue fighting to ensure that every resident of my district is included in the work I do. (1/5)
Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day 🇺🇸
Married 8 months before Josh’s second deployment to Afghanistan. To all the spouses who make many sacrifices for their families, we salute you today.
I had a great time marching in the Staten Island St. Patrick’s Parade and at the annual Jerome X. O’Donovan Breakfast. Parade day in West Brighton is always a beautiful celebration of Irish heritage & tradition, and it is an honor to represent such a vibrant community on SI.
The Secretary has started the process to permanently rescind a cruel & dangerous policy that never should have been considered—slashing disability benefits for thousands of veterans. His overdue action is a credit to the tens of thousands of veterans who made their voices heard.
The veteran community forced this retreat. A tweet is not a rescission. The interim final rule is still in the Code of Federal Regulations. Until it is formally withdrawn, veterans’ benefits remain at risk. Rescind it.
Halting enforcement is not enough. This rule is wrong, and it should be rescinded immediately.
No veteran should ever have to choose between their health and the benefits they earned.
As an occupational therapist, I know recovery depends on following medical guidance, not being penalized for it.
Secretary Collins must withdraw this rule outright. Our veterans kept their promise. We must keep ours.
Staten Island has experienced the greatest increase in property taxes among the five boroughs. We need a solution that ensure our residents can afford to remain in their homes, and I will continue working with our city government on behalf of my constituents to fix this inequity.
As a proud graduate of the College of Staten Island I’m honored to be included in the 2025 CUNY Alumni 50 Under 50! My time at CSI set the foundation for my career in public service & I’m grateful for what CUNY offers our city’s students on their academic & professional journeys.
Brooklyn’s 23rd District students are ready to shine this school year! Our Back to School Giveaway was a joy to host, ensuring children start off with the supplies they need. Grateful to our sponsors and partners for stepping up for our kids.
Wishing all children in Staten Island’s 23rd District a great start to their school year! I was glad to host our Back to School Giveaway to help provide free school supplies. Thank you to our vendors for making this possible!
