Millions have now heard the Gospel proclaimed by Linus each year
But few realize he drops his blanket at the news of the Savior being born because he’s no longer afraid
“For me, to Live is Christ and to die is gain”
Philippians 1-21
Certainly a factor of Charlie Kirks death was politics but a small one compared to what was really going on. This was a physical expression of spiritual warfare. Charlie Kirk did what not many professing Christians are willing to do. He spoke boldly the name of Christ into an evil world that hates Christianity in hard places. He was polite but he certainly was not “nice” in the face of evil. He dropped bombs of truth over the correct targets. Despite the consequences of becoming a target himself. He was hated and ultimately killed because the evils of the world hate all things good and true and beautiful. His politics and his way of life were down stream of his ultimate and unwavering commitment to the Christian world view. He was a martyr. And his blood joins in with the host of martyrs crying out. Thankfully there is a peace that surpasses understanding in knowing a life taken in the name of Christ punches a hole in the forces of darkness. Thank God for a short life lived that we all must learn from…
No more cowardice.
No more being safe.
No more being “liked.”
No more playing nice to all ideas and people that want to kill you and you family.
Come what may.
Come Lord Jesus.
My Son was born Two weeks ago. Joshua David Stackhouse Jr. He’s a dream come true, an undeserved blessing, very strong and might I add, very handsome. May he grow up to slay dragons. It’s good to be a dad.
Tribalism turns toxic when a single leader cannot be questioned—by other leaders or members from the inside.
This is what happens to a cult: No matter how obvious it is that a man is wrong, his people cannot afford to admit it.
And yet the king has no clothes on.
