@SabresSocial I’ll absolutely take the other side.
If a deal was there to be made, it would be done.
The team is rightly prioritizing younger players. They have their number, it doesn’t match his, and unless he decides to come down at the last minute, he is on his way out.
@AaronQuinn716 I’m not sure there are any reasonable people worried they aren’t good.
The concern is that they haven’t been good enough and continuously look like they haven’t done enough to get better while other teams have.
That concern has been correct.
@TheBillsGuys He has sunk incredible amounts of draft capital into the defensive line and we have essentially no star power : serious impact players to show for it. Now several stars have been available and moved and we ended up with none. It feels like he is just chasing his tail.
@adampensel I agree. I think they’ve probably had more success late, though, and they’ve been aggressive in adding difference makers. Beane has been content “trying” and settling for guys who haven’t been what we have needed and wanted (in fairness Von looked truly elite before the knee).
@AaronQuinn716 Sure. But 30 other GMs don’t have 17, constantly talk about how hard they tried to make a move they did t make, and haven’t sunk tons of draft capital into the same positional group with very underwhelming results. All while being needlessly arrogant and smug.
