@NickHoopes_ Not sure I'm connecting.. Why is this an example of healthcare being broken? There's 0 context here about the pt's perspective, are they getting better? Or are we just concerned that 'we' need to be the ones who got them better vs working as a team to get pts better...
@hjluks I think maybe because more ppl don't care about this data than do care. Obtaining this data is largely driven by researchers and clinicians versus demand via patients.
@bballbreakdown If "the dip" is performed naturally by nearly every player, why must it be taught? How can one teach it any more than what occurs naturally?
@TomBroback Yes I can. Our clinic sees 1-2/month... which is quite a lot actually. It's our most common sporting injury we see here unfortunately. All of them preventable in my opinion if coaches had more training and less kids to supervise. 1 kid had an SCI from barbell step ups
@mboyle1959 I don't think the desire to gather data = "data hungry" as data is necessary to make decisions. Sure the hop tests as a stand alone measure aren't great. Just a puzzle piece to RTS. If you have pre-existing data of an athlete prior to injury, I would also retest those items
@pbasilstrength Quick clarification question; for unilateral exercises, do you count the completion of a R and L set as 1 set or 2 sets towards the total of 20-25 sets?
@AdamMeakins Is it known whether or not individuals with these findings are more likely to develop pain/disability in these areas compared to individuals w/o scan findings?
