@Variety This thread reminds me of why I’m rarely on socials. Ugh. People, the movie was a lot of fun. If you don’t like it, that’s fine, but lighten up folks! This film had great word of mouth for a reason.
@PhantasticGeek Caught myself saying “I’d bet real money…” which I’ve been saying for years, which is,in fact, a mutation of Dr McCoy in ST IV saying “I’d give real money if he’d shut up.” Ah, the influence of Trek!
@PhantasticGeek Dudes! Was out of pocket last week for the finale, but I emailed an audio file so that I could squeeze my way into this week’s season retrospective. Looking forward to what you all have to say.
@PhantasticGeek Howdy! I left pheedback on the Phantastic Phone phor both Star Fleet Academy and Wonderman. Please let me know if it worked. What great shows!
@PieterJKetelaar
@PhantasticGeek Also, fun joke, Uhura’s holodeck character says that their space show “could’ve gone on forever.” Not only is #StarTek pushing 60, but Gene Roddenberry’s words to the TOS theme song include, “I know his journey ends never, his Star Trek will go on forever” Hilarious!
@PhantasticGeek What fun! Finally we establish that, from the beginning, the holodeck was nothing but trouble! If only they had listened to Pike and buried it in a box.
I’m glad the writers/producers are willing to have fun because I am too!
@PhantasticGeek ALSO, the Joseph / Chris heart to heart. Classic Trek friends trusting each other. This show continues to provide solid episodes consistently across genres. It’s a real pleasure to tune in every week to see what’s next. PHenominal !
@PhantasticGeek Though I’ve never seen it, why is no one talking about Day of the Triffids? Star Triffids? I’m not a zombie guy, but I think this was GREAT. All the creepy suspense AND the Ortegas conundrum AND Pike/Batel at the end? I’m not crying, you’re crying. 😉
@gaghyogi49 I like this ship! We’ll, it’s exciting. 😉
But really, I do like it! It feels like a cool version of ships I drew as a kid in ancient times when we only had TOS syndicated reruns.
@PhantasticGeek We are off and running and I am all for it! Did I hear an Amok Time fight music cue when Kirby came on board? S3E1 gave us the adventure we love. S3e2 was throughly modern and a light but poignant character story.
One problem: Guiness should not last to the 23rd century.
@PhantasticGeek I sent an email with much to say BUT here I can at least say this: WHAT. A. SERIES!!!
I’m looking forward to Andor: The Next Generation as well as my other series pitch that’s in my email.
Oh, and thanks #Andor for letting us know that B2 is out there playing droid tag. ❤️
@PhantasticGeek Hey Phantastic Ones! Glad to be back listening to you all again. Such acting! Such writing! I’ve only seen the beginning of season 1, but Im totally on board with this. Phun!
@PhantasticGeek The very dark Terran opening section had an extremely BSG score, and I’m all for that!
Oh, and I enjoyed the innovative hand to hand fights as well as the space battles.
I have to say I really enjoyed it!
Can we have more Section 31 movies please?
@PhantasticGeek The supporting cast did great and I enjoyed getting to know them, even those who turned out to be trouble.
Great score, Jeff Russo does it again. Lots of fun… a great balance of character, adventure, pathos, and comic relief.
