@DetectiveSeeds Probably Laufey. Looks almost unbelievable, visually. Otherwise Wolverine, Kumuri, and Rayman. ILL might look great, technically, but I find the world just that little bit TOO dark. I can't imagine actually wanting to spend any time in it.
@50PlusGamer1970 It's not just games, it's the entire internet. Discourse has been terrible for a while now. Not really sure what happened but seems like everyone's desperate to have the edgiest and most negative opinion possible.
@CPFC_Tampa@fc_mossman Yeah but you don't even need to go that far to meaningfully improve them. Even if you just took shots from 20 yards you'd stop keepers guessing and at least make it purely a test of skill. Penalties are indefensible.
@FootballCliches@DKingTelegraph We used to respect the idea of being "level". Which basically meant "roughly level". Which had to be approximate because a person had to judge. And that kind of approximation was apt, because it's important that the players also have a good chance of complying with the rules.
@lennysan@danshipper It just makes software way easier to make, and therefore cheaper. I think the major effect will be a huge increase in the number of niche products. So very few jobs will be automated end to end but almost every part of them will be automated with some very specific tool.
@Demi_RealGunner@BlackScarfMarc It's not being rewarded, it's being punished less severely. It worked really well to keep the Europa League competitive.
@longislandviper Sony didn't have the developers to make GaaS games though. It made no more sense for them than any business eyeing a lucrative market they know nothing about.
@ClarkeMicah No win no fee lawyers are the only way poor people can obtain justice. They aren't the problem. The problem, if it exists, is the bad laws they exploit.
@AaronPDBisiaux@MissMillMoll123@ClarkeMicah But the initial sentence would be the deterrence! Then once that is served they could live out their remaining sentence in relatively nice conditions. That way you keep people safe from them, avoid cruelty, and also avoid killing them.
@JamesFl70174920@SwedishRumble I didn't say the game shouldn't be changed. I said it shouldn't be ruined. A penalty is deterrent and compensation but not ruination. Also, it's consistent. Is as meaningful in minute 90 as in minute 1. Which is another huge problem of red cards.
@ROWEBOT3339@anishmoonka In theory all the issues like bandwidth and server cost could be solved by charging more for this particular service. I think the real reason is simply that not enough people really want it. And also wouldn't really have anywhere to store the files.
@Mishok2000@Evenios 2/n because i'm not convinced any of the faces are "wrong" in terms of lighting. I think they're more just jarring because they were never rendered anticipating this level of lighting fidelity. I still don't see any hallucinatory element in Grace: it looks better lit to me
@Mishok2000@Evenios are you absolutely certain the faces are the result of separate training data? my assumption was similar: single model isolating materials and lighting elements and using some PT truth to fill in details. why couldn't faces be on same basis? they're still materials that are lit!
@Richard74565596@nimlot26 I don't know about that. Does path tracing need to be controlled at a granular level? Isn't what this effectively does? Mimics the result of extremely high quality RT? Why does that need detailed oversight? It's just more accurate in an absolute sense.
