@WarrenDuff7 @cinemaisdreamy Then call it something else like Wolfgang Peterson did with Troy. He didn't call it The Illiad, something like The Guantlet. The Odyssey should have the tone of Gladiator/300/Lord Of The Rings. It should be three movies just like Lord of the Rings

@realfamilyman83 @thatstarwarsgrl The ancient Greeks didn’t separate history from mythology like we do. Troy’s ruins proved the Trojan War setting was real. The Odyssey blends myth with the historical aftermath—real places, peoples, and legend woven together.

@realfamilyman83 @thatstarwarsgrl Nolan changed his character Arc by having him defy the gods hospitality laws which lead to the downfall rather than his own pride by telling Polyphemus his name which then Polyphemus prays to his god Poseidon to make Odysseus's journey home a harrowing one.

True, a story that has lasted the test of time, 3000 years of it. Why change it now?!?!?!?

At least Snyderbros explained why the "Martha" and the ghost of Johnathan Kent scenes worked for them. Nolan asslickers can't explain why change the character traits of Odysseus, removing the dialog from the Cyclops scene, changing the plot to Odysseus defying the gods instead of his pride leading to the downfall of his men.
