In the hush of dawn on hallowed ground,
Where row on row the white stones stand,
We pause beneath a sky so blue,
To honor those who gave their youth.
They marched through fire, through mud and rain,
They crossed the seas and felt the pain
Of brothers lost, of dreams laid down—
For freedom’s flag, for our small town.
No trumpet called them home again;
They sleep where poppies bend and spin.
Yet in our hearts their voices rise—
A quiet thunder, clear and wise.
We fly the flag at half-mast high,
We place the roses, red and bright,
And whisper thanks for every breath
We freely draw because of death.
O fallen ones, your watch is kept;
Your sacrifice is ours to hold.
On this Memorial Day we vow
To live as worthy of your gold.
May peace be yours beneath the sod,
While we walk tall upon the sod
You bought with blood and boundless love—
America remembers you.
My name is Don Hooper, and I am running for Harris County Republican Party Chairman.
I am an America First conservative, native Houstonian, and precinct chair supported by Michael Berry (@MichaelBerrySho), Kenny Webster (@KennethRWebster), Matt Rinaldi (@MattRinaldiTX), Dr. Mary Talley Bowden (@MaryBowdenMD), Young Republicans of Houston (@yrsofhouston), Texans for Vaccine Choice (@TXforVaxChoice), and many more.
One of my key priorities is to ensure that dangerous Marxist judges are not left unopposed. In 2024, 12 Democrat judges were unopposed, and in 2026, 6 Democrat judges are unopposed. This situation is unacceptable.
Today is the last day to vote early in the primary runoff election. Please cast your vote at any voting location in Harris County from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information and to plan your voting, visit https://t.co/FNAP1U0Qox.
Patriots, you can still vote today! Don Hooper for Harris County Republican Chair! He will change this grade. And after voting, please enjoy a relaxing and reflective Memorial Day weekend. The reflective part may remind you why voting matters - many have fought and died for this privilege - on our soil and elsewhere.
In Houston, the Harris County Republican Party faces significant challenges. In 2022, current chair Cindy Siegel voted with democrat County Judge Lina Hidalgo to approve DC operative Clifford Tatum as Elections Administrator—resulting in a flawed election later overturned by a Texas District Court Judge.
Vote TODAY for Don Hooper for Harris County Republican Party Chairman to Make Harris County Great Again! Please cast your vote at any voting location in Harris County from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information and to plan your voting, visit https://t.co/FNAP1U0iyZ.

TODAY IS ELECTION DAY!
Friends and neighbors,
This is our moment to shape a stronger, brighter future for our schools and community.
SBISD faces important decisions ahead — including a $24 million budget challenge, rezoning that will shape our neighborhoods, school capacity needs, and an upcoming bond to rebuild our middle schools.
These issues touch our children, our homes, and our property values. Now is the time for thoughtful, comprehensive leadership that turns challenges into opportunities.
I’m running for SBISD Board Position 2 because I believe we can do better — together.
I’m committed to evidence-based decisions, fiscal responsibility, academic excellence, and real transparency that keeps parents and community voices at the center of every choice.
Bring your family, friends, and neighbors. Let’s show up for our children and our community.
Vote Sally Cone – Position 2
Location: your zoned Middle School
7:00 am - 7:00 pm
Together, we can deliver the accountable, principled leadership our schools deserve and build an even brighter future for every child in SBISD.

Had the pleasure of meeting Rep Mike Olcott yesterday, who showed me the ropes with block-walking. We have a very important election this Saturday for SBISD school board! Vote for my friend @sallyhilercone!
🚨 A Major Victory for Spring Branch ISD
SCOTUS just delivered a significant win in Louisiana v. Callais, narrowing Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act and making it much harder to dismantle at-large election systems like ours.
The prior federal order pushing single-member districts for May 2026 was already stayed. This ruling strengthens our position to protect and maintain SBISD’s current 7-member at-large board.
As an SBISD board member I will fully embrace the positives of this landmark decision and fight to keep our proven at-large model.
Why it matters: Every voter in Spring Branch deserves direct access to all board members — not just one. No artificial divisions. No weakened voices. One unified community holding our entire board accountable for the education of every child.
VOTE Sally Cone for SBISD on Saturday, May 2nd at your zoned Middle School. 7:00 am - 7:00 pm!
This system works for our families, and I’m committed to defending it.
