Labor leader Ka Leody de Guzman took a swipe at the Local Government of Manila after the Manila Department of Social Welfare offered hot meals and on-ground assistance at Liwasang Bonifacio, where members of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) are holding a rally on Thursday.

“Sa limang dekada kong pakikibaka, di ko pa naranasan na may magpalugaw na mayor. Iba rin ang special treatment,” he said, noting the unusual level of support extended at the site.

Layunin din nito na palakasin ang pananagutan ng mga ticketing platforms at event organizers sa pamamagitan ng mas mahigpit na monitoring at enforcement mechanisms.

Nagpapakahirap ang mga tunay na fans na ipunin ang pambili ng mga tickets na ito. Nagpapakahirap sila na mag-queue sa mga ticketing platforms para makabili. Lumalaban sila nang tama at patas, pero ninanakaw ng mga scalper ang oportunidad nilang makita ang mga iniidolo nila.

UAAP LENIENT TO ATENEO, BUT STRICT TO OTHER UNIVERSITIES?

Veteran sports broadcaster Quinito Henson questioned the UAAP's decision to let Ateneo de Manila University handle its own investigation into the drowning deaths of student-athletes Rene Clert Baterbonia and Divine Adili, noting that neither the university nor members of its coaching staff have been sanctioned or suspended in connection with the incident.

Henson pointed to previous cases in which the UAAP imposed penalties, including Adamson University's use of ineligible player Marlou Aquino and the controversy surrounding former coach Aldin Ayo's training camp, which led to complaints from players. He argued that the league's response in the Ateneo case appears inconsistent with its actions in past incidents.

Ibinunyag ni Senator Ping Lacson na “nawawala” ang ilang dokumento na isinumite ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa Senate Blue Ribbon Committee nang simulan nito ang imbestigasyon sa flood control projects scandal.

Magnificent Five Senators Kiko Pangilinan, Tito Sotto, Ping Lacson, Risa Hontiveros, and Bam Aquino introduced and filed a resolution URGING BATO DELA ROSA to voluntarily surrender.

The Resolution cites the previous examples of voluntary surrender and judicial submission by Juan Ponce Enrile, Leila De Lima, and Sonny Trillanes. (This belies Cayetano’s false claims).

It also cites that the parliamentary immunity and privilege from arrest is LIMITED to offenses punishable by not more than six (6) years of imprisonment.
