But no, The SoCon being the 23rd ranked conference out of 31 does not describe a “middle” major. Some schools single handed graduate out of their conferences but take time.

@AUJimHalpert @JudgeSma @ryanhammer09 I’m sorry but less than 10 to name in a decade is wild. And some are borderline. The reality is high majors gain nothing from scheduling mid majors and it keeps their NET higher. We agree with that. It’s not the schools problem so much as an incentive program.

But being willing to play the true MID majors who can beat the high majors regularly is the fear most schools refuse to overcome. I just thought it was funny that Auburn hadn’t scheduled any.

@AUJimHalpert @JudgeSma @ryanhammer09 You do know that there’s mid majors and low majors. Buy games against the worst conferences is very different from home and homes or 2 for 1’s against the conferences ranked between 6 and 10. The former is what primarily is happening.

Not to mention the MVC’s record in the NCAA tourney over the past 20 years is the best of all mid majors. But you’re right that Lunardi won’t show that respect.
