#OTD in #Bellinghistory 1938 the Cocoanut Grove held its grand opening. After repeal of prohibition Bellingham enacted strict rules for drinking establishments: no music allowed. Thus many "road houses" sprung up just outside the city limits. Hello drunk driving?!
