Before you laminate anything for your classrooms this year, ask yourself if it really needs laminating.

Most paper will biodegrade in 3 to 5 months but your laminated resource / display will be around long after your lifetime.

Earth Day 21. Nowhere made me respect Earth more this year than in the middle of frozen Lake Baikal. Harsh temps that makes condensation freeze on your eyelashes & ice to form on a camera. Yet wonder towards stunning raw beauty & a touch of ancient human spirit.

Often use YouTube clips and documentaries in Geog SoW. Never thought to put the subtitles on. Working in an international school with many EAL students, it makes sense! Helps in virtual lessons and to emphasise new vocab for all learners too. #geographyteacher #edutwitter

Will watch this story develop with geographical interest & #compassion for a place of fond memories. A hike in 2007 along densely vegetated mountain trails is a far cry from current evacuation plans.Not easy on a small island.

@hannahflower07 Local area, local issues. Global often seems so much more exciting but helping them make sense of their immediate environment, develops relevance I think. Not necessarily a stand alone topic but woven into everything else taught.

...a charade of normality behind masks, empty classrooms and faces on screens, no sharing of equipment and less group work, constantly changing situations, new routines and procedures every week. For some reason, teachers often receive bad press and negativity in the media...
