So proud of the Turf Program students and staff for their work at @JimAgerGolf this week.

All the tees have been tilled, graded, laid out and seeded in only four days. Seeing the irrigation run marked the end of the construction. Now our students will handle the grow-in phase.

Happy Monday from @JimAgerGolf. The Turf and Landscape Management program is resurfacing the tees to bentgrass. Over a half-dozen students have signed up to help manage the course this fall. Great experiential learning offered at @unlagrohort. @UNL_CASNR

Another benefit of GPS sprayers: precision glyphosate applications. @JTroyTurf is killing the tees at Ager GC this morning. They will be rebuilt and seeded to bentgrass with out turf students to this fall. Another great learning opportunity for our students.

Played @JimAgerGolf this morning. @JTroyTurf has the place looking great; firm and fast too. Some isolated and typical summer pests. Golfers probably don't even notice them: pythium root rot and crabgrass starting in a couple spot. Never ending fox damage is the most annoying.

We've graduated from collecting clippings on research greens to the @JimAgerGolf fairways. PhD student @remoteTurf is collecting ground truthing the data from our ACS430 crop sensor. Measuring growth across the entire fairway on a grid.

Double mowed and rolled the greens today. Putts are rolling very well and averaging about a 12 on the stimpmeter. Even got one to roll out to a 13
