Thank you to the Inspiration4 and Space Camp teams for inviting us to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony at Space Camp last night. What a great night celebrating courage, curiosity, and the next generation of explorers!
Our Liv attended Space Camp in 2022 and would have absolutely loved all the incredible new activities in the I4 building.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for honoring and remembering her. It meant everything to see her spirit carried forward in this special place. ❤️
This memorial display honors Olivia “Liv” Perrotto and the extraordinary connection symbolized by two plush astronauts sitting side by side: Jude and Asteroid.
Jude, the golden retriever on the right, flew aboard Inspiration4, the first all-civilian SpaceX mission in 2021. Inspired by the therapy dogs of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Jude was carried into orbit by Hayley Arceneaux, a childhood cancer survivor who formed a heartfelt bond with Liv during Liv’s own battle with cancer.
Years later, Liv designed Asteroid, the Shiba Inu astronaut plush on the left, which flew aboard the Polaris Dawn mission — continuing the journey that Jude first began.
Together, the two plushies symbolize the bond between Liv and Hayley, the enduring spirit of St. Jude, and a young girl whose courage and love for space continue to shine among the stars. ❤️🚀
Jude always keeps it cool before launch.
Have a coffee and keep it chill.
The mission and the destination are clear… and we’re all going along for the ride…
