Between 2016 and 2019, the government of Sierra Leone received up to US$230 million from the World Bank to improve the electricity supply in Freetown.

I have a prepaid meter at home like many people, and I slept in the dark.

Where is all the money we are paying for electricity going to? Funding lifestyle and overseas trips? We still can't pay Karpowership?

It is quick for those in public offices to shift blame to the people without taking responsibility for their own failure.

I still believe that there's a need for some serious political and administrative leadership in our energy sector.

Perhaps Dr. Abass Bundu will inspire Uncle Kanja and the leadership of EDSA to either proceed to retirement or resign.

Mabinty in Mange, 2017.

In 2017 I went to my country of origin Sierra Leone for the first time.

It was on the porch of my father’s childhood home in the Cheifdom of Mange Bureh that I met Mabinty.

Her eyes full of curiousity and wonder at the new arrivals, they reflected back to me the feelings I was overwhelmed with as I experienced home for the first time.

Mabinty and I went on to become friends and although I lensed many photographs of her, this one, is my favorite.

This piece was just collected on @orb_club within about an hour of minting for 9999 $Bonsai ($386 USD)

Didn’t even make it on X in time but these days, Web3 social eats first. (Follow me on your fav Web3 Social platform @ibraheem)

The most interesting thing about this collect is that it was collected by one of two collectors that encouraged me to up my prices last week.

I was and will continue to experiment with distribution models for my work.

But I’m grateful for those that value my work and encourage me to do the same.
