@blankspotato Takahashi loves stupidly strong powerups, he is definitely a power scaler and it shows but this consistently harms his shows because he has to go out of his way to make it work without removing the stakes which in turn fumbles EVERYTHING built prior, Ace is the embodiment of that
@blankspotato They clearly didn't know what to do with him after he became god while having a bottom 2 main antagonist foiling him. Ace is just kinda forced into doing nothing and losing all his notable traits and quirks so that everyone else can wrap up their shit before he mogs Suel
Idk I feel like greek sensitivities really didn't mesh with the tone of disco Elysium for it to be a remotely accurate retelling but the play wasn't divergent enough to stand on its own merit. I don't know
I went to this! It was a cute passion project but ugh I'm really not a fan of the changes they made with the tone and characterization of the story and it's characters like Evrart not being playful and instead being very directly villainous or Kim being easily angered and loud
Fans of Disco Elysium can catch a stage play inspired by the game this May in Athens, Greece!
"When Disco Died" is a two-act, 150-minute reimagining of the Disco Elysium narrative, featuring new characters and live music.

Idk the direction and writing changes were really questionable to me but I can't hate too much because it was definitely made with some love for the material and I did enjoy my time watching it despite it all, I just wish they hadn't swapped the somberness of the game for gags
