Itโs #NationalRadioDay
I know, who gives a fart!!? Been at 94 since 94. Wow, thatโs a long timeโผ๏ธ Super grateful for each of you who have been on this journey w me. ๐
@OlvraAlan Iโm going to end my part of this discussion on a positive note. I know youโre a good guy who was trying to make a point. I was also trying to make a point. I feel what you were saying. I hear you. I accept your perspective. We are all different. So we should share and listen.๐ค๐ค
@OlvraAlan The point wasโฆthe effects of systemic oppression lingers long after the battles to change laws, workplace discrimination etc. There is evidence of it with every group.
If ask your partner and they agreeโฆthatโs great. Thatโs partnership.
@OlvraAlan Oppressed to take care of me? ๐
My wife and I have a partnership based on love.
We simply want to make each other feel good, cared for, valued.
We donโt oppress one another. However, we both recognize the effects that linger from system oppression. Have a good day ๐
@OlvraAlan Itโs not extreme. The same systems that taught men that they are superior to women taught them that they are superior to others. Each group has to break free. But those effects linger for a long time. As they get free people love to say โitโs all equal now.โ Ask them if it is.
@OlvraAlan Unfortunately my father believed he owned my mother. Told her what to wear, how to act and abused her. Told her she was not allowed to work. She broke free, got a job, and raised her children. My mom took him back AFTER he learned the equal value of a woman. His mindset changed.
@OlvraAlan These same systems taught men that they had a god-given right to hold dominion other human beings. Iโm curious..do you think the effects of slavery ended at the end of the civil war? These systems oppression reverberate with many ill effects for a long time. For black/gay/women
@OlvraAlan Religions taught men that she was made from a manโmade to serve him. She is an object that can be sold, raped or even cut into pieces. The state reinforced it. Itโs been a long fight to be equal. Vote, equal pay, wear pants or even speak out of against a man. The effects linger.
