Our record snowpack is a welcome relief from drought – but we still need to rely on water conservation to stretch our precious water supply. All Utahns should fix leaks, irrigation systems and consider replacing nonfunctional grass. Turf buybacks are statewide once again!
We’ve conserved billions of gallons of water – let’s keep the momentum going!
@schwaboy @LindsayOnAir@kslnewsradio It's diverting the water from the Provo river, through the Central Utah Project aqueduct system pipelines then discharging it directly to the Jordan River, bypassing Utah Lake and portions of both rivers.
@StanSLC @danielmwoodruff@KUTV2News That's the creative part of the whole thing-- it uses the raw water aqueduct system to draw the water directly from the Provo River and deliver it directly to the Jordan River at the Point of the Mountain, bypassing Utah Lake and portions of both rivers.
@NeffBr@danielmwoodruff@KUTV2News It's excess snowpack that is part of the Central Utah Water Project supply. The water is diverted from the Provo River at the base of the canyon, through the aqueduct system, then discharged to the Jordan River from the emergency overflow. It is anticipated to last a few weeks.
If you’re wondering, we’ve currently received more snow water equivalent than ‘83, ‘84 & 2011 but those years had amazing late March/April totals. We are currently behind ‘97, but that year had fewer spring storms. Still, multiple storms in the forecast! (This is one to remember)
@BenWinslow@fox13 Great news! We're in full support of efforts to make our communities liveable and waterwise. The great majority of the communities we serve have adopted our recommended water-efficiency standards for all new construction. The work continues...
Our teams are responsible for repairing and maintaining the public system, which ends after the water passes through your water meter. Customers who create a MyWater account can opt to receive text alerts for detected system anomalies. https://t.co/dFIuPHO6fp
#Fixaleak, #SaveH20
When our teams began creating our MyWater program, we envisioned being able to find and resolve customer water management issues quickly. Samantha was spared a large water bill and property damage by her problem being discovered, and remedied, quickly. #fixaleak, #watersmart
Even small leaks can add up to a lot of water waste over time. Download the full Leak Detection Guide on our website to learn how to determine if you have a "continuous flow" (aka: leak) in your home water system. @SlowTheFlowUT @UTAHSavesH2O

So impressed with @IvoryHomes for their commitment to #sustainability. We've partnered with them for better landscaping at new Utah homes. Read about it: https://t.co/1JR52yXquV #localscapes#landscaping
Jordan Valley Water crews have completed assessments at all major pipelines and facilities. Crews found no damage to disrupt normal operations or water quality. #earthquake
Water infrastructure has no problem with coronavirus, but earthquakes are another matter. Our crews are checking on all facilities to ensure everything is OK. So far, so good. Only minimal damage. If you're out of water in our service area, please give us a call. #earthquakeSLC

Hopefully it helps adults, too! #valuewater
