@OmahaSupernovas How did John Cook think he was benefiting a women's team by showing up at a Trump rally? That's like the owner of a vegetarian restaurant going to a Cattlemen's Association convention.
@Nebraska511 Morons closed most of the interstate, and closed down The Highway 370 exit without a sign. They could just shut down the part they were working on, but that would make too much sense.
@xevekiah *Sis probably is mad because her ex didn't beg her to take him back, and he didn't do anything abusive so people would call him the villain, and people rewarded his actions but not hers.
@xevekiah To answer a few comments:
*Once Sis got divorced, there was no marriage, so OP wasn't interfering in anything. It was none of Sis' business whom her ex dated.
*Taking a toxic person's side just because they're family is no service to anyone.

@MattWalshBlog No matter how hard you try, you will never make us sound as ridiculous as someone claiming Trump would never pull that kind of stunt for his own promotion.
@EasterbrookG As hard as it is to get around that city under normal circumstances, let alone at a time like this, I can't blame them. I go there every year, and I love the place, but traffic sucks.
@EasterbrookG Also, I irritated my HS English teacher when we were reading one of her short stories. Two of the characters were named Livinia and Euphemia, or something similar, and I said: "I'm guessing Lithuania and Estonia were invited but couldn't make it."
@EasterbrookG I'll pass that on to my aunt, who also is from Omaha and is a fan of Cather.
I should add that when I was a student at the University of Nebraska, back in 1994, I lived in Cather Hall.
@EasterbrookG Having grown up in Nebraska, in the same sense that someone from Chicago grew up in Illinois, I've read some of her work. As a kid I found it very boring. Maybe I'll give it another shot.
makes everything from the booster stage to the interior seats, and they probably would argue over what course the astronauts should take in order to get there and how many orbits the ship should take. 3/x
THE CLICHE IS BACK! Along with Artemis II came the return of the cliche, "If they can put human beings on the moon..." In this case, someone was asking why public transportation couldn't be upgraded.
I said: "Sending people to the moon is less difficult and complicated. 1/x
There's a well-defined objective, with teamwork among the greatest minds in their fields. The leadership is competent and doesn't get a lot of interference from politicians.
If this moon shot were like a public-transportation upgrade, we'd have politicians arguing over who 2/x
@EasterbrookG As you've said many times, Vrabel would have gotten plenty of grief had he gone for it and failed, and had Seattle scored on the ensuing position. Maybe he read about Ben Johnson, coach of my Official Fiancee's team, getting grief for not taking field goals against the Rams.
