64 years ago, in August of 1958, the US ended Operation Hardtack I.

This series of 35 nuclear tests conducted near the Marshall Islands included more nuclear detonations at the Pacific Proving Grounds than the total number of all prior nuclear explosions in the Pacific Ocean.
