"Getting Your Attention Span Back" starter pack:
step 1: find boredom first. pure unadulterated boredom. no work, no phone, no stimulation
step 2: notice where your mind naturally drifts
step 3: list the topics/themes/questions your brain keeps returning to
step 4: find the best books in the world on those topics/themes/questions. use your own metric of "best"
step 5: find a cozy spot and read those books
step 6: feel free to drop books that don't resonate. this step is important
step 7: write about what you're reading. this is not because you want to "optimize" the learning process (lol), but because you want to discover your mental/emotional/spiritual reactions to what you're reading
step 8: cultivate a dislike for everything shallow, superficial, and speedy. the best way to do this is by cultivating a love for deep things
step 9: engage with things that don't wanna monetize your attention. like sunsets and old public domain books
congrats! you've regained your attention span now. don't lose it again, and if you do, just come back to this list
Trading is not the only way out. Here is the data. 🛑
Path A: Trading (My Journey)
• Time Invested: 4.5 Years
• Daily Work: Endless chart time, backtesting, market analysis.
• Current Result: Net Breakeven.
Path B: E-Commerce (My Friend)
• Time Invested: 1 Year
• Daily Work: ~3 hours a day selling furniture to Gen Z.
• Current Result: Approaching $100k gross revenue for the year.
Trading is the hardest way to make easy money. You are competing against the sharpest minds and algorithms in the world. If you are not ready for a 5-year learning curve, there are other ways to build capital.
I used to be a scalper
I thought i was addicted to trading
turns out i was addicted to the screen
the moment i started marking levels the night before and walking away, everything changed
the screen time was the problem, not the strategy
In this order flow analysis I discuss an intraday market sequence that is a great foundation for trade setups (love this sequence).
Basically, when the market tests below VAL and aggressive sellers start failing to build much volume below value area low, it often leads to more and more shorts exiting and joining the bull side of a battle.
As usual, the surrounding context adds even more value to this sequence. For example, if the overnight session is heavily short inventory, then that adds even more value.
Then you can use whatever types of setups you like to take advantage of this sequence.
Milk & honey, before bed, is GOATED
"If you find you wake up at night, a small carb-load before bed (warm milk and honey) frequently breaks the “tired-but-wired” pattern by reassuring the liver and the nervous system that energy is available overnight."
- The Metabolic Blueprint
If 95% of your diet is:
• Greek Yogurt
• Avocados
• Potatoes
• Chicken
• Veggies
• Berries
• Water
• Steak
• Eggs
• Fruit
• Fish
You will lose fat, gain muscle & have 10X more energy.
Attractiveness is FAR more malleable than people think - in fact I’d say more so than genetics
Biomechanics, fascia position, nutrition, environment and lifestyle are far more important
You can turn any “ugly” person attractive by making them healthier
Of course genetics will load the potential, but what fills it is the factors I mentioned.
Studies show that generations of poor nutrition completely change how offspring look and perform in their life
If parents are good looking and healthy and they pass down their looks to their kids it’s often tied to nutrition and lifestyles, often being sports oriented people
Consumerism is an inherently emasculating pursuit. Learn to find joy in the mundane. The joy you experience from not needing things will always outweigh that which comes from having things you don't need.
Unpopular opinion but trading has already been figured out, sorry...
You can't just come up with your "model" (😭) after trading for 6 months, especially if it's just an OHLC candlesticks chart with very limited data on it.
From orderflow, AMT, techinical analysis, the tools exist, you just need to master them and calibrate your brain properly.
Turns out the limitless pill is just taking taurine, l-theanine, nac, citicoline, l-tyrosine, glinkgo bilboa, and a methlyated b complex with your coffee in the morning
12+ hours of dialing in made EASY
how to become a modern polymath:
1. build strong foundations
math
physics
computation
systems thinking
these are the meta-tools.
2. learn how to learn
reading
note systems
self-study
experimentation
knowledge compounds only if you can absorb it fast.
3. work across domains
biology
engineering
economics
history
design
innovation happens at the borders.
4. build things
code
hardware
models
tools
thinking becomes real only when it meets reality.
5. integrate knowledge
connect ideas from different fields into systems.
a polymath is not someone who knows everything.
it is someone who can connect everything.
