Her name was Nancy Faller.
She joined the Army Nurse Corps in August. By November, she was in Vietnam. Bien Hoa. Qui Nhơn. Places where helicopters never stopped arriving. Places where stretchers never stopped coming.
She was sent to the 67th Evacuation Hospital.
Orthopedic ward.
Broken bodies.
Missing limbs.
Burned skin.
Shattered lives.
Day after day, Nancy cleaned wounds, held hands, and watched teenagers fight for survival.
She slept little. She cried rarely. She learned to work through fear.

Mary Faller joined her at the same hospital around 1970.
Two sisters.
Same uniforms.
Same blood soaked floors.
Same nightmares.
They worked side by side in chaos. When alarms sounded, they ran. When helicopters landed, they prepared. When soldiers screamed, they stayed.
No cameras followed them.
No medals made headlines.
Only suffering.
Nancy stayed in the Army until 2000. Thirty three years of service. She became an expert in wound and continence care. She earned advanced degrees. She kept healing long after the war ended.
Mary returned home and worked in ICU wards for veterans for 15 years. She spent her life caring for the same generation she had treated in Vietnam.
They never stopped serving..🙏⭐️
