Mark Warner is hiding from seniors and forcing AARP to cancel its debate. I accepted immediately. Warner has refused every debate this race.

He voted NO on a $6,000 tax cut for seniors 65+ under $75k ($150k jointly), more than the average Social Security taxes a senior household pays. His excuse: he’s a Senator.

I’d rather eat beef than soybeans; hence, why I’m raising cattle.

Half the soybeans grown in America get exported to markets that are shrinking every year. China has a 10-year plan to stop depending on US imports entirely.

Almost half the corn grown in this country goes into ethanol. Goes into your gas tank. Does not feed a single person or a single animal.

The subsidized cropping system in the US is dramatically oversupplied. Farmers growing crops the market does not want. Losing $100 an acre on soybeans. Losing $50 to $100 an acre on corn.

And demanding bailouts to keep doing it.

Meanwhile, the US beef cow herd is the lowest it has been since 1950. Beef prices have tripled in five years. Baby calves at auction are bringing $1,500 a head.

A 1,000-acre soybean farm losing $100 an acre could convert to intensive cattle grazing for $300,000. One time. That same farm spends $300,000 every single year just to plant soybeans.

One is a lifetime investment. The other is an annual hole in the ground.

That breakdown from Palisades Gold Radio on YouTube lays it out plain. The math is not complicated.

I'd rather own land that feeds people than collect checks to grow what nobody needs.

It was great to attend the 71st Annual Clarke County Fair today! 🎡

It was a joy to celebrate this longstanding community tradition, visit with local families, and recognize the farmers, volunteers, and community members who make Clarke County such a special place. I also enjoyed stopping by the Clarke GOP booth and visiting with folks there.

Less than 2% of this country puts food on everyone else's table. And most of the other 98% have no idea how it got there.

Paul Ramirez has been selling cattle at auction since he was 14. He told the Wealthy Cowboy Show something that should bother every rancher listening: members of Congress don't understand how meat gets to the grocery store counter. Not a different opinion. No understanding at all.

And we let those people write the regulations.

Ramirez said 4-H and FFA should be a requirement for at least one year of school. He's right. You send a kid through 13 grades and he walks out not knowing where his dinner comes from. That's not an education. That's a filter.

Most people aren't malicious about agriculture. They're just ignorant. And that ignorance is not an accident. The 2% of us doing the work stopped telling our story a long time ago.
