Our children must have a safe and clean space to have fun. Yesterday, along with the City of Miami Parks Department and the Mayor’s Office, we cut the ribbon on the new Eaton Park Playground! This project started in September, now families can enjoy a newly renovated playground!

and this morning, I joined the Association of Black Social Workers (@nabswmiami) in their first annual “packing party” in order to pack over 10,000 products for women’s shelters around Miami including Safe Space Miami and Better way.

Last night, we had the pleasure of celebrating two special women at the Charles Hadley Neighborhood Association meeting. We continued our celebration of Mrs. Nancy S. Dawkins’ 98th birthday and welcomed new Major Chiquita Butler, along with a meet and greet with Miami Police!

This past Saturday, I had the honor of attending a celebration of life for Dr. Enid Pinkney- a pillar of the community and an integral part of the preservation of the history of Black Miami. Her selfless dedication to the community serves as an inspiration and example to us.
