Washington keeps rewarding insurers for getting bigger. Patients get higher premiums and fewer choices.
It's time to give money to patients and make insurers compete for their business.
My latest in @townhallcom on restoring choice and competition:

I love the folks who are all about transparency but not for MFN.CMS has never previously indicated that GENEROUS participation would be used as an exemption policy for MFN models.
From a legal standpoint, it is difficult for CMS to argue that it provided “sufficient notice” to manufacturers not participating in GENEROUS might preclude the mandatory payment cuts in GLOBE
Following on the heels of the MAHA summit, it would be a huge win for patients if CMS did what @RepGregMurphy and others are calling for - Healthy Food in Medicare.

An important new poll in support of the Safe Step Act.
Nine in ten (90%) voters trust their doctor more than their insurance company to prescribe medicine.
I want to meet the 10% who trust insurers more. @C4AHC

This was a fun podcast with my friend @JerryRogersShow
340B is in desperate need of reform. HHS pilot program is important, but Congress should pass the @RepGregMurphy Tax Exempt Hospital Transparency Act to bring accountability to the system. @C4AHC@RealClearHealth
Are nonprofit hospitals profiting from the poor? @jwhite_health joined the @RealClearHealth Podcast to discuss how the 340B program is being exploited.

.@jwhite_health nails it: "The lesson from the Inflation Reduction Act and other countries around the world is simple: Government drug price controls do not improve patient access. In many cases, price controls create incentives to ration care..." @C4AHC

I was glad to partner with my friend Hannah Anderson @A1Policy on the Inflation Reduction Act’s broken promise that is still costing patients. Let's not make it worse...@C4AHC

This is so true. Unfortunately, both parties are bowing to this experiment in Socialism. @c4ahc

If the gov't switched from the AMA's CPT codes to a single public set, we could improve the accuracy of the system, and reduce administrative costs, premiums and out-of-pocket costs. Learn more: https://t.co/E3w37ajsf2
I’m proud to lead my colleagues in urging @CMSGov to make nutritious food more accessible for seniors managing chronic illnesses through Medicare Advantage.
Healthy food helps prevent and manage disease, and seniors will benefit from greater access.
Medicare does not consider food primarily health related, which is not MAHA friendly!
This important effort from House Republicans urging CMS to expand clinical treatment through healthy food to 35 million Medicare beneficiaries would be a massive MAHA win.
Importantly, it would lower costs and reduce waste in how the benefit is structured.
Bravo @RepGregMurphy! @C4AHC
Is anyone surprised that big insurers are showering Dems with donations? Democrats are the ones who created the environment allowing insurance companies to build huge monopolies that cannibalize the #healthcare system.
