The best leaders are not at all competitive. They aren’t constantly trying to outdo their peers [even behind their backs], stamp their higher authority on their team or demonstrate their superiority. There is no need. The team & the collective achievement of outcomes is their job

Overheard in Kenya as Charles prepares to apologise, a White male talking to his mother saying "if you apologise for Kenya, where will it stop". Why does it need to stop though? I appreciate the threat to dominate hegemonies but surely we can acknowledge all the wrongs...
📢 Black Thrive is proud to join @NHSEngland in announcing the first ever anti-racism framework for mental health trusts and service providers. The Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) will ensure that the NHS is responsible for co-producing and implementing concrete actions to reduce racial inequality within their services, with the view to becoming an actively anti-racist organisation.
Our Director @DrJacquiDyerMBE has been one of the driving forces behind PCREF, as NHS England National Mental Health Equalities Advisor and chair for the Advancing Mental Health Equalities Taskforce and the PCREF Steering Group.
"It's about race equity in systems change, the scale of it is huge and deep,” Dr. Jacqui Dyer explains. “It’s getting into the DNA of how you make system improvement and you’re holding the whole system to account as you’re doing it.”
📅 Join us on 3rd November for the PCREF National Launch Webinar, when Dr Jacqui Dyer will be giving a keynote speech on the ambitions PCREF has for the future. Our CEO Dr @soucimf will discuss the role of VSCE organisations in implementing PCREF and engaging communities.
