One issue is that trans women aren't really thought of as 'real' women even by allies. We're also not seen as approaching gender correctly or being the right kind of trans person by some groups. That thinking is often inflected with rad fem mindsets.

Trans women are not really a flawless mirror inverse of the trans masc experience. Our experiences are similar but not parallel. We do not have the same relationship with masculinity as trans mascs may have with femininity because the masc-fem dynamic is not equal and opposite.
