A 41 year old patient comes in with her mother for evaluation of double vision
On exam you notice a right eye hyperdeviation more prominent with adduction. Exam otherwise normal
Her brain MRI showed this ⬇️ (FLAIR left, GRE right)
What is this? Is the mystery solved?
@_damarsh_ MSK conditions are >25% of all ICD-10 codes, second highest expense to CMS, yet the legacy politics of many Medical school fail to provide adequate educational experiences in this area. It has been that way for decades.
Congrats to VCOM OMS-3, Phil Dunn, for representing some of work in patellar morphology at the 2024 Student American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics @StudentAOAO in Boston.
The Class of 2027 recently held the annual Cadaver Memorial Service to honor those who donated their bodies to medical education. Students expressed gratitude for the impact these gifts have on their learning and future careers.

@cvans I’ve actually found that creating and sharing video tutorials works *incredibly* well. Lots of software “ride alongs”. Allows students to pause/start over and work at their own pace. Probably wouldn’t work for everyone’s situation, but it has saved me a ton of time and emails!
Our @Patelladoc group paper led by student J Sieberer is out today in @aossmjournals, emphasizing the importance of measuring patellar instability metrics in 3D for surgical decisionmaking. Been having lots of fun postdoc-moonlighting w/ @OrthoAtYale 🦴

Med students who matched into Neurosurgery had THIRTY SEVEN pubs/presentations on average??
This research arms race to match into residency is getting wild.
It rewards students with enough financial support to take a gap year during med school.
