GM, CHRIST IS LORD.
Not only do we win in the end, but we can win right now.
I can't tell you how many pastors I've heard say from the pulpit that satan is the "King" or "Prince" of this Earth.
Too many times I've heard that satan offered the kingdoms of this earth during the temptation in the wilderness because they belonged to him and they were his to offer.
My brother's in Christ, When Pilate told Jesus during his trial that he had the power to condemn or release him, Jesus replied, "Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above:" John 19:11a KJV.
When our saviour was crucified He descended into the heart of the earth to take hold of the keys of death and hades, and now holds dominion over them forever.
When satan appeared in the lowest level of heaven to give account for his roaming of the earth in the book of Job, he wasn't there because he wanted to be. He was present to give account because he was ordered to, and is still in submission to the God of all heaven and earth.
The Ancient of Days is in full control.
The power of death was defeated at the cross.
Our saviour, Jesus the Messiah is the King of this earth.
He said so.
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." Matthew 28:18 KJV
Ephesians 1:21 says "Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come."
That power and authority is given to us through the precious shed blood of the Lamb.
In Luke 10:19 Jesus says, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
Over all the enemy.
You know what He means when he says "all"?
All of it.
Absolutely all of it.
How much more clear could our Lord make it?
There's no better quote to verbalize this concept than the scene from Fury.
"I started this war killing Germans in Africa. Then France. Then Belgium. Now I'm killing Germans in Germany. It will end, soon. But before it does, a lot more people gotta die."
There are still battles to fight, yes.
But the war is already won.
Act like it.
It's a great day to evaluate the meaning of patriotism. Catch a few of my thoughts linked in the first comment below.
"I’m in complete agreement with Mark Twain on patriotism. He explained it as “'supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.'"
We've foresaken the fellowship out of fear.
We've abandoned our purpose because of circumstance beyond our control.
When what was required of us was beyond our means, we paled with terror instead of putting our trust in God.
We have fled in fear instead of abiding in faith.
Here's the good news:
It's not too late.
It's not too late to return to the purposes and callings for our lives, despite the opposition.
Much like Nehemiah, there is fierce opposition to you having a revived purpose and calling.
But despite the opposition, despite the mocking and threats, and the character assassination, you have what Nehemiah has.
The blessing from the King.
You have his orders.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit," (Matthew 28:19 NASB 1995)
You have his protection.
"For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11 NASB 1995)
And you have been given what you need to finish the task set before you.
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you." (John 14:26 NASB 1995)
There is nothing set before you by the Lord's divine providence that cannot be accomplished.
From a heap of ruins to an impregnable fortress in only 52 days, let Nehemiah's life be an inspiration for your own.
The Lord is at work rebuilding walls. The only thing left to determine is wether or not you will trust him, and take up that calling and purpose for your life that he has given you.
Other texts indicate that Nehemiah was also the one who brought the holy fire for the altar back from the diaspora to Jerusalem.
If you live by that faith, that as Paul describes as being a "shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." (Ephesians 6:16 NASB 1995), and you follow His precepts and seek the paths of righteousness, you can be the one that brings that same fire of revival back to your own nation.
You need only to live not by fear, but to live by faith.
Many believe they will be accepted into the Kingdom of God, but sadly, the Bible tells us that most of the world will not find salvation; in fact, very few are chosen, as Jesus Himself states in Matthew 22:14.
Why is this? It's because fallen humanity tends to follow its own corrupt desires rather than the Holy Spirit.
A heart renewed by the Lord will naturally show His fruits in its actions through the transformative power of the Holy spirit.
Like a healthy heart pumps blood to itself and the rest of the body, a spiritually healthy heart receives and extends God's love, mercy, and forgiveness.
If the heart stops sending blood to the body, the entire system fails.
In the same way, if we don't extend God's love, mercy, forgiveness to others, it exposes a failure in our spiritual health and lack of a relationship with Christ.
Even forgiveness, is critical to our spiritual well-being and relationship with the Lord.
It's all too easy in our flawed state to hold grudges against others.
But, Matthew 6:14-15 reminds us:
"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."
This really reflects God’s justice and mercy.
When we forgive and love others, we align with God's nature and demonstrate that we have accepted His grace.
But, when we withhold forgiveness and harbor bitterness, we demonstrate that we are not being guided by the Holy spirit.
How can we expect to receive God’s forgiveness if we refuse to grant it ourselves?
As we approach the end of this sinful age, remember, no one in the Lake of Fire will be there who didn't choose that path.
Belief in Christ is essential for salvation, but true belief leads to a mind and heart renewed by the Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
If you truly believe a truck will hit you if you stand in the highway, you'll move.
Accepting the Gospel should naturally lead us to follow Christ, evidenced by the Holy Spirit's transformative work in us.
If Christ's ways aren't evident in your life, it's a sign you don't truly know Him.
This is why Matthew 7:21 warns:
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
And what is the Father’s will?
To believe in Him and be renewed by the Holy Spirit, spreading His love, grace, and mercy so others might also experience His embrace.
"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." (Ephesians 4:22-24)
All events in history and today are trials from our sovereign God, revealing true hearts, those who follow Him and those who follow their own hearts.
As wickedness increases, as Jesus warned in Matthew 24:12, the hearts of most will grow cold.
Those whose hearts grow cold, becoming filled with resentment and self-righteousness, will not be used by God as vessels of mercy but as vessels of wrath.
That's why John 16:2 warns that some will persecute the saints, believing they are doing God's will.
This is the ironic, sad, and dark truth about the last days.
Those who seem to be on "God's side" will end up persecuting believers, much like the Pharisees in Jesus’ time.
Jesus, in Matthew 10:21 predicts, "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death."
True followers of Christ, who live out the Gospel and avoid worldly distractions, will be seen as traitors, obstructing humanity's quest to establish the kingdom of God on their own terms and will face persecution.
A time is coming soon when we must all choose between following God or man.
He's coming unexpectedly to the wicked, so now is the moment to repent and truly follow Him.
"Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed." (Revelation 16:15)
"Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you." (Revelation 3:3)
Stay awake.
If you find any trace of bitterness, anger, or unforgiveness in yourself, eliminate it immediately and align yourself with Christ.
Live out His gospel and don't allow the chaos of the world distract you from your purpose, which was to pick up your cross and follow Him, not yoke with the world in their fight for the flesh.
"Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.'" (Matthew 16:24)
"Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." (Galatians 5:24-25)
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Romans 12:2)
"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever." (1 John 2:15-17)
Please consider this deeply, brothers and sisters.

One of the most significant moments in world history was this surrender. Cornwallis led one of the most disciplined and skilled military forces in the world. A band of civilians, armed with courage and dignity, stood strong together for a life without government oppression. Led by a hero of epic valor and cunning, a patriot army saw to it that Cornwallis and an empire were ultimately defeated. George Washington went on from the battlefield to the White House. If only his historic Farewell Address were heeded today.
Cornwallis surrenders at Yorktown
On this day in history, October 19, 1781, British General Charles Cornwallis surrenders at Yorktown. The Battle of Yorktown was the last major battle of the American Revolution. Although fighting did continue in various areas, peace negotiations began the following spring and eventually brought the war to an end.
The British had successfully conquered Georgia and South Carolina in 1779 and 1780. When General Cornwallis invaded North Carolina, however, things didn't go so well. In the spring of 1781, Cornwallis was forced to the coast for resupplying and regrouping. He marched to Virginia instead, thinking it would be easier to conquer than North Carolina had proved to be.
After arriving in Virginia, Cornwallis received orders from his superior, General Henry Clinton, in New York, to make a deep water port on the Chesapeake, where supplies and reinforcements from New York could be landed. Cornwallis marched to Yorktown in the summer of 1781 and began reinforcements.
George Washington, meanwhile, left New York with French General, the Comte de Rochambeau, with 7,000 soldiers. They met with the Marquis de Lafayette and his army in Virginia, while French Admiral, the Comte de Grasse, fought off a British fleet bringing reinforcements to Cornwallis and landed thousands more French soldiers. In all, 17,000 French and American troops surrounded Yorktown.
The allies began bombarding Yorktown after digging a siege trench. For days, bombs rained down on Cornwallis who began running out of food and ammunition. After nearly two weeks of resisting, Cornwallis knew reinforcements from New York would not arrive in time and he reluctantly sent out a drummer with a white flag on October 17.
Negotiations were held over the next two days at the home of Augustine Moore, which is still standing. On the 19th, the official surrender ceremony was held. The American and French soldiers marched into town and the British soldiers marched between the two allies and laid down their arms. British drummers and fifers played a popular British song called "The World Turned Upside Down," as the troops surrendered.
At the formal surrender ceremony, General Cornwallis refused to attend, feigning illness. He sent his second in command, General Charles O'Hara, to surrender his sword to George Washington instead. At the ceremony, O'Hara tried to give the sword to the French General, Rochambeau, but he refused it and directed him to General Washington. As O'Hara was Cornwallis' second, Washington refused to honor this breach of protocol and he directed O'Hara to surrender the sword to his own second, General Benjamin Lincoln.
The surrender at Yorktown finally convinced Parliament that war with the colonists was futile. Peace negotiations began the following spring. Fighting did continue in the colonies and around the globe after the Battle of Yorktown, but the war finally came to an end when the Treaty of Paris was signed on September 3, 1783.

We are entering a season where occult practices become highly active, as we enter their festival season of the "dark half of the year".
Right now there are pagans fasting and praying to their god for the destruction of Christian marriages, and for the complete breaking apart of Christian families. As we speak there are satanists that are literally sacrificing humans in occult rituals to manifest demonic power - and yet here you are, unable to get up an hour before work to study the Word and pray or even be found in the Lord's house on Sunday.
In the midst of the calm of your life, you've had sudden disaster strike, serious problems with work and finances, and found your relationships or marriage hanging by a thread.
You have been dropped behind enemy lines, in the midst of the largest scale war known to mankind and then acted surprised when you were fired upon.
There is a reason Paul wrote about the spiritual armor of God that we must put on every single day if we are to survive.
As Leif Enger says,
"We are at war. Retreat is impossible. Arm yourselves."
Spiritual warfare manifests itself physically, and the warning that "your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" (1 Peter 5:8) is meant to be taken literally.
This is your wakeup call, your advanced warning that the enemy is maneuvering upon you and that if you are to survive you can no longer rely on a luke-warm faith, an undisciplined prayer life and half measures in your walk with Christ.
My brothers in Christ, the battle is real and it is right here, right now.
It is time to make war.
