When I left @FoxNews - I was called “crazy.” I was told I had “destroyed” my career and my life.

In many ways, I had.

I lost friends. I lost connections. I lost status. I lost opportunity. This isn’t a post to grieve that … it’s just perspective.

But I knew what was happening in news wasn’t right - and wasn’t what the people wanted or needed - the people we, as journalists, promised to serve as a free press in a free nation.

Our audience didn’t need another opinion - they needed the news.

It’s nice to see so many talking about a free, independent press - and the importance of curiosity and unlimited access to information …

This is my way of simply saying … “welcome to the party” …. @joerogan @realDonaldTrump @elonmusk @TuckerCarlson @bariweiss … and so many others 🤗

And while most of those voices I just mentioned are associated with “conservative” or libertarian thinking, that’s just the pendulum now. All of today’s remarkable (and often opinionated) voices will vibrate at even a higher frequency if we can set a foundation with nonpartisan press.

That’s how the “boring news” supports a free society - when it’s clear what’s happening, why it matters and then, what’s opinion. The lines have been too blurred for too long.

And that’s why the stakes are even higher than 2018 for journalists everywhere … I don’t share my opinion unless it’s on journalism ;) but standing by to help lead these efforts ❤️.

An environment of hatred and hysteria has been created - and not by Trump as they continually claim, but by the technocratic state. They’ll probably find a way to blame him for this. “Trump’s ear assaults bullet”

This ought to inspire a return to sanity. But it won’t, it can’t, because they have to cling on to power and the demonization of Trump. This is what they have instead of a vision for a better world.
