Recording engineer Roger Nichols was born on this day in 1944. Known as “The Immortal”, Nichols won eight Grammys for Best Engineered Recording, Non-Classical, including four for “Aja”, “Gaucho”, “FM” and “Two Against Nature”. Nichols passed away in 2011.
